I have been meaning for a long time to talk about Bitcoin, and while I still love the concept I have opted almost completely out of the market, despite being invested when Bitcoin was priced at about $1 per coin.  I had a lot of ups and a lot of downs with cryptocurrency, and this is a small story about my experience with cryptocurrency.

For many years of my life I sacrificed the comfort and my availability to my family to be able to accumulate more.  More in general, but also more bitcoin.    I had reasons, and very few were materialistic.   Despite working for an Automated Pharmacy company as an engineer on their robotic dispensing and storage machines.  I also was investing in a few different retail stores, and some side businesses.  Eventually I got into activism in the form of fighting to decriminalize cannabis.   Which also led me into supplying equipment and code for dispensaries who needed point of sale equipment and particular legal needs needed to be addressed with custom coding, which I supplied through   http://emeraldpos.com   (at the time of this posting I still own that domain, but I may not own it in the future, you can look it up at, www.archive.org for its history)

After about 2009 I started working with WordPress to create a digital currency/economy/market-place.    I started with a few different names, but it was sort of a centralized currency, even though it was outside the boundaries of Government Controlled/coerced banks like the Federal Reserve.  We had a point system to reward users for interacting with the site, and for giving word of mouth recommendations to our site.   For the points to be valuable, and we created a marketplace with products mostly by our own making, however we had products from other sources too, you can see more about it here:

You can see, that release announcement was on January 21st 2010, but we had been working on that for many months prior to that.   I started with the forum/marketplace in 2008, and I had the currency developed in Alpha stage by the end of 2009.   Bitcoin was released in January 2009.  I believe that I was working on my digital currency at the same time that the developers of bitcoin were working on their’s.   At the same time I was developing my currency/economy, I was also working 96+ hours a week, and getting some times only 10 hours of sleep in a week.   It was maddening to my family, and my poor wife felt like a single mother for many years (despite that I worked at home, I was locked away doing something all of the time, or traveling for business).

By July of 2013 I had made my first real estate sale with cryptocurrency, and unless I am mistaken, I am not aware of anyone before July 2013 who had completed a real estate transaction with cryptocurrency, no yet Litecoin.

That price rose from about $2.80 to over $60 each in just two months between August and November 2013

I tried to give a lot of help and technical support to people just getting into Bitcoin, or who wanted more information before they jumped in.   I also sent fractions of bitcoins to dozens of people during this time to sort of prove the market.

Now the point is, that I have been at the absolute top of my game.  At one time renting an $8000 a month house on Lake Washington in Bellevue Washington, while mooring a 50ft yacht at Foss Harbor in Tacoma.

This was our 4.5 million dollar habitat in Washington, and we have had many others that were very upscale before and after that home.  We lived here for 2 years;

And now, after going through a terrible car accident in May of 2013, and then losing everything we had in Hurricane Maria in 2017, we are basically starting over again.

But the one thing that I learned from this lesson, is that money comes at a cost, and time with my family that I never had before has become my greatest treasure of all time.   My greatest treasure, is the one that I had already found, and I was hunting all of that time for something that had no more value than the time I wasted on it.

Although it would be nice to have all of that cryptocurrency that I had accumulated.   My first large loss of Cryptocurrency was when MtGox crashed  (or was hacked allegedly) and I lost several thousand coins at that point.  But they were only worth about $1 a piece at that point.
Then later I lost a bunch in 2015 when my  www.btc-e.com account was hacked.  I lost about 6 coins, but they were only work about $314 a piece then.   Then when www.BTC-e.com was siezed I lost a few more coins.  They were worth about $600 each when that happened.  During the hurricane I lost 10’s of thousands of dollars of mining gear that I had setup in my office at our house in Juncos PR.

I had some ups and some downs with crypto-currencies.   But let’s say you invested $10,000 in cryptocurrencies back when I started with crypto-currencies.   Today that would be worth;  $39,749,900.00  (39 million dollars).  Or if you cashed out in December 2017 when bitcoin were worth $17,900 each that would be worth $179,000,000 (179 million dollars).

From $10,000 to $39.74 million in just 6 years isn’t a terrible investment plan.

I may have some stored on the mainland in a storage shed that we have, but there is no assurance it is still there or that the device is still functional.  We will someday explore that option.   It may be by then bitcoin will be worth something again.

I have learned that money can be easy, but there is so much that must be sacrificed in it’s place.  I prefer to be happy than to be rich.

Cryptocurrency is very disruptive and goes WAY beyond it’s financial value and I believe Lysander Spooner would be extremely impressed with this leap towards freedom.

April 15th 2017 turned out to be quite a battle for America in Berkeley California.   It was basically two groups (and several independent and sub-groups).   There were the socialist/antifa/communists on the one side, and on the other side the proud-boys/pro-Trump/patriots.    When the pro-Trump people declared that they would be having a rally on April 15th, shortly after the leftist groups decided that they would match them, and of course that means that the leftist will bring their violence.  So the events leading up to this event, were a sign of what would come at the rally, where Based Stickman defends himself against Berkeley Brownshirts, April 2017 and punched one of the people in a gang that was chasing him and threatening him in a park in Berkeley, and of course just like any fascist would, the socialists called the cops after getting punched.  Apparently “Based Stickman” aka Kyle Chapman was arrested on April 15th as well.  I have reached out to him for an interview, so far I have not heard back yet as of 4/16/2017.

There were a few other minor scuffles leading up to April 15th.  However the day of April 15th was every bit as violent as anyone anticipated.

Socialism Violence Then and Now

After nearly two years of so-called “anarchists” and “anti-Trump” and “antifa” mob violence and protests, the American people are stepping up to shut down the violence in our country.
It is one thing to protest and use your voice to express yourself.  It is a completely new level of protest to burn colleges, burn cars, and trash businesses to get your views across.

The definition of fascism from Meriam Webster dictionary;

”  a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control early instances of army fascism and brutality — J. W. Aldridge”

When I think of fascism, I think of the socialists and the communists from the 1930’s and 1940’s in Russia, Germany and Italy.   These were groups that identified as or with labor unions, and opposed capitalism and many of the things that the alt-left and the so-called “anti-fascists” identify with today.

Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin all gave many of the exact same speeches as antifa, BLM, and other socialist groups give today.

Since January 28th 2016 a lot has taken place in this case.   I am proud to announce that the verdict for 7 of the protesters in this case was “Not guilty”, this included Ammon Bundy, his brother Ryan Bundy, Shawna Cox, David Fry, Jeff Wayne Banta, Kenneth Medenback, and Neil Wampler.

The jury heard a lot of testimony during the court case, but I believe that the best report on how this played out is from an interview with Juror #4, and his explanation of why the jury came to a “not guilty” verdict.  The Oregionian did a great job with this interview, and some of the details from Juror number 4’s testimony surprised me.  Other parts of it, I fully expected.

This stuck out to me, which is what destroyed the prosecution’s case.

The judge floored us when she said that there was no statute against impeding federal officers (by force, threat, or intimidation), nor was there a significant penalty applied to criminal trespass.  We all queried about alternative charges that could stick and were amazed that this ‘conspiracy’ charge seemed the best possible option.  It was not lost on us that our verdict(s) might inspire future actions that are regrettable, but that sort of thinking was not permitted when considering the charges before us.

On the day that Lavoy Finicum was buried, I had my own vigil where I carried my rifle with me to the Maine State House where the capitol building is in Augusta.
I felt it was the least that I could do to honor Lavoy on the day he was buried February 5th 2016.

This year has been a wild year in the USA and in the World. Our family has been to 12 countries in the year of 2018, and we have experienced some wild issues while abroad and while back home in the USA.

In September 2017 we went through two category 5 hurricanes in Puerto Rico. First Hurricane Irma, and then Hurricane Maria.

The reason why I include that, even though it is from 2017, is because that experience launched us on a new journey. I felt a bit relieved to be traveling again, because there is so much of the world that I wanted to see. These travels took us to Europe, and then Mexico and finally back to the USA. I had a goal of allowing my kids to see how the rest of the world lives, both pros and cons. To let them experience the beauty and wonder of the world! Which they joyfully did. I also wanted to learn about immigration and globalization from a foreign perspective, outside of my bubble in the USA.

It was a grand adventure, and we learned a lot. After spending all of that time abroad, we gained a new appreciation for the world that we live in. We also gained a new appreciation for the USA, and after seeing the economy since Trump took office, we were excited to get back to the USA.

This year entailed many new political changes, ones that I had hoped to see as far back as 2016 before Trump took office. We left the USA ahead of the election, because neither candidate appealed to us, and the whole political and economic system left a sour taste. However, in Puerto Rico when we arrived, I had made a video predicting that if Trump did four things, that he would go down in history as one of my favorites.

• Dismantling the Federal Reserve
• Giving Cannabis Back to the States (releasing it from federal control)
• Punishing countries in trade who take advantage of us
• Appointing a Supreme Court Justice who believes in preserving life and opposing Row Vs. Wade

I thought that Trump would be a liar, as I said in that video. However, Trump has been keeping his promises right and left. He is one of the only candidates that I have ever saw, that has done so.

I reported on Obama’s presidency after he left office, and I noted the highlights of his presidency. I was sorely disappointed with result of that.

Obama broke nearly every major campaign promise that he made.

Trump has made a fair share of mistakes, I won’t grant him a free pass on everything just because he has done some things right. However most of those mistakes have to do with issues in his personal life, and do not directly reflect on the job that he has done while President.

The Judge Kavanaugh appointment was a major wake up call to the “silent majority”. I for one knew that the results of these accusations would either be that there would be no proof, and no conviction, or that all of the accusers would turn out to be liars, either trying to hurt Judge Brett Kavanaugh so that he would not be appointed for political reason, or because some of these psychos just enjoy gleaning the spotlight for themselves. Here is a follow up, now that the dust settled of where they are now, and what the results of their accusations were;

As it turns out, based on 5 accusations, 2 of them fessed up and said that their accusations were lies, and the main on Christine Ford, had no evidence, all of her witnesses would not corroborate her story, and all of the ones that she named as being present or involved, said they “have never heard of Judge Kavanaugh and did not know him”. She didn’t know when, where, how or who. But she was SURE it happened.
Some of the other accusers have been referred to the FBI for criminal investigation regarding their erroneous accusations. The other 4 make the point for the main one, is that this was a giant political hoax. I lost friends over my support for Judge Kavanaugh. A few militant feminist who believe in the sexist ideology of “believe women”, rather than “believe facts”, some of whom I had been friends with for over 25 years. Now GONE. Good riddance, I don’t need that bias and dishonesty in my life anyhow.

Trump signed the Farm Bill that decriminalized hemp on a federal level, and gives the states the right to allow and regulate hemp as they see fit. This is an 80+ year prohibition that ended with Trump’s signature on the bill!

Trump’s stock market, and record unemployment accomplishments are nothing to balk at either. Even Obama was so amazed that he went on a world tour to take credit for it. Despite saying that it was impossible to do, back in 2016 to mock Trump. However when Trump pulls it off, Obama tries to take the credit. Ce La Vie, eh?

Last but not least, in this review anyhow. Pulling out of Syria and Afghanistan! This is something that I have been talking about for years, and I have been praising Ron Paul for his thoughtful insight to these foreign wars.

Obama continued two foreign wars started by Bush, but then also waged 5 more wars without even getting congressional approval.

Trump however is bringing out troops home finally. ANOTHER campaign promise fulfilled!

The Democrats have been bewailing the troop deployments, and endless wars, every time a Republican wants to surge troops, or stay longer.
But NOW, Democrats are desperate to stay at war all of the sudden. Amazing isn’t it?!

Well, like I said, it has been a crazy year! But good in many ways.
We are on a fast track to recovery after going through 5 natural disasters.
To note all of them it went like this.

• September 6th 2017 Hurricane Irma, Puerto Rico
• September 20th 2017 Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico
• October 9th Hurricane Ophillia (we barely missed this one when we went to Ireland, but when we got there, there were still people without power. We booked our tickets in September, but had to wait to leave, because out flights were pushed out until October, for economic reasons)
• Then in Mexico on June 3rd, as we were about to go to Guatemala for a short stay so that we could renew our tourist visa in Mexico, the Fuego Volcano blew right near the AirBnB that we booked. Fortunately we didn’t lose our money for our booking, but we never heard back from the owner of the AirBnB, and we can only assume some kind of tragedy took place for him.
• After that, we came to Hawaii, and found the perfect home, but unfortunately it was 1.2 miles from the fisser 8 site where Kilauea blew just a month before. But our house was largely unaffected, and we were able to capture some fantastic drone footage during the lava flow.

I created a knowledge base with a lot of these records, and I am adding more as I find them. 

I tried to post this last week on the Event that Jennifer Ruggles set up, and also on her personal facebook page, but when I checked today, the posts that I made are not available. Why is this important you ask? To make an educated decision, one must have ample and accurate information. I believe that forming an opinion or making a decision with only a fragmented view of the entire situation is a disservice. I intend to take calls and get answers on February 2nd’s show.

There are so many documents that are important to this topic, and I have not been able to find very many of them that are easily available to the public. Even at the townhall meetings, typically what is presented is the Hague and Geneva conventions documents that discuss vaguely about “war crimes” and “treaties”. But nothing specifically related to this topic, only indirectly.

I appreciate Jennifer Ruggles and Dr. Sai taking and answering questions on this subject. But during the meeting on September 24^th 2018, I ask how these 1949 rules apply to 1893. I was surprised when Dr. Keanu Sai said that these rules apply because Hawaii was adopted into the British Kingdom.

Yet after doing more research, I did not find a single Parliamentary meeting in the United Kingdom, that ratified this adoption of Hawaii in the British Kingdom, and ratification would be necessary if Dr. Sai statement is true.

So this is the oddest thing David. Shenna is NOT a cannabis person. At all. I mean, I went back on her facebook page, and youtube videos of her speeches. She NEVER talks about cannabis.

The first time she spoke about cannabis on her facebook feed, was November 30th.

I went through hundreds of her posts dating back to May 2015. Not one mention of cannabis AT ALL until November 30th.
